Emily's Vintage Visions

This is adorable! I love the white with the polka dots as contrast. I used to have a copy of that same pattern but it was missing so many pieces it was unusable. It's so nice to see it made up. Lovely job!

Thank you, Emily! I really liked the combo of fabrics as well. Too bad about your copy of the pattern. Thankfully it's a fairly common one to find, so far.

What a pretty blouse, Kristen! I love it as an ensemble. Polka dots have never been my favorite, but with all your pretty new outfits, I am changing my mind! :) I like how the collar picks up the same fabric as the skirt. And what a nice design with the blouse, so as to fit a lady properly.
I may have to look up this pattern, since you said it's fairly common yet. Thanks for sharing yet another inspiring project! (And I'm curious as to what your autumn event is that you're practicing up with new outfits for! :) )

Thank you, Sarah! I'm glad I'm influencing you to like polka dots. :-) I think they've become so much a rustic-country or else baby fabric, but they are much more than that.

The autumn event some of us are planning to attend is the Remembering WWII event in Linden, TN; then another one the next weekend in Toccoa, GA, where Easy Company trained before shipping overseas. So I get to do lots of sewing, and air some of my more outrageous 1940s hats I usually save for costume wear! :-)

I really, really love what you did with the grey polka fabric and the white accent on your blouse. It makes this look so put together, and really pretty! Gorgeous look, and I'm totally inspired by this. ❤

Thank you, Bonita! I was pleased how put-together it looked too, and am glad to hear it's not just my opinion. :-)
