Fantastic! I love the waist detail of that skirt. I'm going to have to keep my eye open for that pattern now. And paired with the matching jacket, just wonderful!!

What can I say? Another FAVORITE!!! :) This ensemble is absolutely gorgeous, and looks beautiful on you. I love how your skirt came out; it's my favorite version I've ever seen of that pattern!
I love both of your tops. Absolutely stunning!!! :D

Hello, just happened across your lovely blog. I actually just purchased the pattern for that skirt. McCall's now offering it as pattern number 6993. I actually purchased three patterns to make the entire suit. Skirt, jacket and a blouse with a front tie. It is part of their retro collection, the pattern covers show the suit, but you have to buy the pieces separately. Thankfully, McCall's was on sale this weekend so I loaded up.

These are really lovely pieces that you have made. I like the skirt and matching top together, I wouldn't worry about period correctness, it makes a fabulous outfit. Love the vintage collar too.

Lovely outfit, Kristen! I recently bought the current McCalls pattern for that skirt to use for my very first 1930's project this year! :) I've seen it used multiple times by others and really like how it turns out. Your white blouse is the perfect piece, I think you will get a lot of use out of it. And I had to chuckle at the comment about how sewing is not as economical as thrift store shopping...I am in the same boat. :) But then when one scores deals on fabric like you did, it makes sewing that much more enjoyable.

Sarah - I'll bet you lined the yoke, though, so yours looks nicer than mine on the inside. :-)

Thank you for the pattern info, Dianna! And thanks for stopping by the blog!

Thank you, Kate-Em, for telling me not to worry about period-correctness. I'll have to keep that in mind. ;-)

Love the white blouse Kristen, you look so beautiful!
