Your buttons are way cuter than the ones that came with the sweater (red is one of my favorites). Love, love the plaid skirt. Plaid Wool skirts are my main winter wardrobe staple during winter season. I have purchased many pleated plaid skirts over the years so my sewing project is to make a few circle plaid skirts. ( as you know hard to find in stores) I have purchased fabric to make four of them.
Never knew that there were online thrift stores, I need to check them out!
Lovely post Kirsten , as usual.

What a great find, so charming and cute. I love the buttons you chose to update it. I agree, changing out the buttons really is the best way to make something new again.
